Sitting, Existing, Persisting

Coffee Dream Park Mall

I sit here,
Alternative music blaring in my ears,
To get rid of ambient noise.
I exist here,
In this space where my body settles
And my mind churns out thoughts
Of living and dying; sometimes,
Confusingly, both at the same time.
I persist here,
In this life, I call my own –
With all its dark corners and
Unsung songs that come in the colors
Of the kaleidoscope, spinning
Round and round as I attempt to solve
The puzzle that shapes my soul.
