Her wing – broken by the strong gusts of wind that toppled the trees outside – Will heal when her spirit does.
She felt alive when she slid her hands On the newly-laundered sheets Smelling of flowers in the rain.
She kissed the sunrise And held on tight to her dream – Rainbows fell on her lap.
Into the sunset she flew, Spreading her wings wide – She fell hard, burned.
